Pricing & Sessions
What are the session options and pricing?
90-Minute Sessions: $750
The 90-minute format allows us to go deeper than traditional 50-minute sessions. Complex problems need space to unfold, and this gives us time to make real progress each session.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide documentation (superbills) for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Call your insurance company and ask about out-of-network mental health benefits. Questions to ask:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- What percentage does insurance reimburse after the deductible is met?
- Do I need a referral or pre-authorization?
Billing codes for reference: Z63.0 (Problems in Relationship with Spouse or Partner), F43.20 (Adjustment Disorder), CPT 90847 (Family psychotherapy, conjoint).
Sessions & Scheduling
Are all sessions virtual?
Yes, all regular therapy sessions are virtual via secure video conferencing. This gives you privacy, convenience, and eliminates commute time.
I do offer in-person vacation retreats and weekend sessions for couples who want a more immersive experience. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in these options.

What states are you licensed in?
I'm licensed as an LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in:
You must be physically located in one of these states during our sessions. View cities served →
Our schedules are unconventional. Can you accommodate?
Yes. Maintaining a smaller caseload means I can offer flexibility that isn't possible in traditional practices. I offer evening appointments, weekend sessions, emergency sessions when crisis hits, and flexible scheduling to accommodate travel, shift work, or demanding careers.
Do you offer weekend sessions?
Yes. In addition to regular weekend sessions, I also offer extended weekend intensives for couples who need focused, immersive work in a compressed timeframe. These can be especially helpful for couples in crisis, long-distance couples, or couples who want to jumpstart their work before transitioning to regular sessions.
Getting Started
How does the consultation work, and are we committing to therapy?
Because I maintain a limited caseload in a highly individualized practice model, consultations are reserved appointments and are billed at $100. That fee is applied toward your first session, should you decide to move forward. The consultation exists so we can both decide if this is the right fit. You'll tell me what's happening, I'll tell you what I see, and we'll both decide if working together makes sense.
What happens in the first session?
The first session begins the assessment phase. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy now, your relationship history, patterns you've noticed, what you've tried already, and what you hope therapy will help you achieve. We'll discuss what I see and determine the best path forward together.
What if only one of us wants to do therapy?
That's common—often one partner is ready before the other. Both partners need to participate in the sessions, but you don't need to be equally enthusiastic. You just need to be willing to show up and engage in the process. Sometimes the resistant partner becomes more invested once they experience how the work actually happens.
About the Practice
Why do you start with weekly sessions?
Weekly sessions create the momentum needed to shift patterns that have been building for years. Starting at a lower frequency usually means the work never gains traction. You spend each session catching up instead of moving forward.
As you demonstrate real change in your daily life, we step down together. Biweekly, then monthly, then done. That progression is earned, and it reflects genuine progress.
How long does therapy typically last?
Most couples see meaningful change within 8-12 sessions. The work is designed to create real movement and then end. I am not interested in keeping you in therapy longer than necessary.
Some couples choose to return for periodic maintenance sessions after the core work is done. That's a healthy, proactive choice. But ongoing weekly therapy is never the default outcome.
What will be expected of us?
Honest participation in sessions and real follow-through between them. I will ask both of you to look at your own contribution to the patterns in your relationship. That can feel vulnerable, and I approach it with care, but I won't skip it.
If conversations start going circular, I'll name it and redirect. Sessions are not for rehearsing the same arguments. They're for understanding what drives those arguments and building something different.
More About the Practice
How do you safeguard our privacy and confidentiality?
Confidentiality is paramount. Everything discussed in therapy stays confidential except in rare circumstances required by law (risk of harm to self or others, child abuse, court orders). All virtual sessions use HIPAA-compliant, encrypted video platforms. Virtual sessions also offer additional privacy: no waiting rooms, no risk of running into someone you know. There is also a layer of privacy that goes beyond confidentiality: I am not part of your everyday world. It is unlikely we will cross paths at a restaurant, a school event, or a fundraiser, and we do not share social or professional circles.
We're content in our relationship but want to strengthen it. Can you help?
Yes. If you're looking for relationship enrichment—building on what's already working—that's exactly what maintenance therapy is for. Many strong couples use regular check-ins (monthly or quarterly) to maintain their connection and address small issues before they become big problems.
Why choose your practice over another therapist?
This practice is designed for couples who need focused, expert help—not generic weekly check-ins. For high-achieving professionals who value privacy and convenience. For people who want a therapist who specializes exclusively in couples therapy with advanced training in EFT. For couples willing to invest financially and emotionally in transformation.
If you want weekly 50-minute sessions at a lower price point, there are excellent therapists who offer that. If you need transformative work with a specialist who keeps a small caseload so you get real attention, that's what I do.
Specific Situations
Do you work with couples after infidelity or an affair?
Yes. Infidelity recovery is a core focus of this practice, and it follows a structured path rather than open-ended talking. The work begins with stabilization in the immediate aftermath of discovery, moves into understanding the vulnerabilities in the relationship that made the betrayal possible, and then turns to rebuilding trust. Couples who commit to the process often build something stronger than what they had before.
The 90-minute session format matters here. Affair recovery conversations rarely reach a natural stopping point in 50 minutes, and ending mid-thread in this work does real damage.
See infidelity recovery for how the phases work, or marriage counseling after infidelity for a fuller walkthrough.
Do you offer marriage counseling in Massachusetts?
Yes. This is a Cambridge, Massachusetts practice, and I am licensed as an LICSW to work with couples anywhere in the state — including Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, Lexington, Concord and Wellesley. All regular sessions are virtual, so where you live in Massachusetts does not limit access. You only need to be physically located in the state during the session.
Licensure also covers Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. View cities served →
