Therapy That Comes to You

Virtual Couples Therapy in New England

Expert couples counseling from the privacy of your home

Why Virtual Works for Couples

When I first moved to virtual sessions, I expected it to be a compromise—a "good enough" alternative to in-person work. I was wrong. For couples therapy specifically, virtual sessions often work better.

Here's what I've learned after years of virtual couples work:

  • No commute means actually showing up. Couples who couldn't coordinate schedules for in-person sessions can log on from wherever they are.
  • Home environment reveals patterns. I see how you actually interact in your space, not how you perform in an office.
  • Comfort increases vulnerability. Being in your own home often makes it easier to access difficult emotions.
  • Privacy is complete. No waiting room encounters, no parking lot run-ins with neighbors.
  • Travel doesn't disrupt treatment. Work trips, vacations, sick kids—you can still make your session.

Serving All of New England

I'm licensed to provide couples therapy throughout:

Quality couples therapy shouldn't depend on your zip code. Whether you're in a major city or a rural area, you can access the same specialized care. Read more about online couples therapy and how the virtual format is designed to work.

How It Works

Technology: We meet via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link before each session—just click to join. Works on computers, tablets, or phones.

Setup: You'll need a private space where you won't be overheard or interrupted. Many couples use a home office, bedroom, or even their car parked somewhere quiet.

Both together or separate locations: Most couples join from the same room, but if one partner is traveling, you can connect from different locations.

Common Concerns

"Can you really read us through a screen?"
After thousands of virtual sessions, yes. I can see your facial expressions, body language, and the subtle shifts that happen between you. The connection is real.

"What if the technology fails?"
It happens occasionally. We troubleshoot, switch platforms if needed, or reschedule. It's never been a major barrier.

"Is it as effective as in-person?"
Research consistently shows virtual couples therapy is as effective as in-person for most couples. And the practical advantages often mean couples actually complete treatment rather than dropping out due to scheduling.

One Requirement

You must be physically located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island during our sessions. This is a licensing requirement—I can only provide therapy to people in states where I'm licensed.
